Hey guys,
It's me AGAIN. It's our last night in Argentina. I can't believe how fast the trip went! We are already planning to come back for New Years '09-'10... that's only 1 1/2 years! It will be summer in South America so it'll be nice and hot and there will be no school for Gabi or Rodrigo. We are really going to miss it here. It's so beautiful and peaceful here. There is just such a different feel than in North America. I feel thankful and faithful and trusting here.
Yesterday we went to Recoleta to see the cemetery. The tombs were HUGE and very very old. Evita Peron is buried there and we were able to see her tomb. Her casket wasn't visible though because it is far underground in case someone tries to steal it again! We went to a little street fair after and I bought a necklace and some roasted peanuts. Sorry Eric, I already ate them all!
Today we went to El Autodromo, which is a car race in Buenos Aires. It was SO loud but it was a lot of fun. Rodrigo and his friend Maury had VIP passes so they were very excited about that and they brought us back some ear plugs from the lounge.
All we have left to do tomorrow is pack and maybe do a little shopping. Matias is coming over to say goodbye and then we are off. Please pray for safe travel and easy goodbyes for us. Also please pray tonight for our friend Julia and her family. It's the 3 year anniversary of her death and we were all thinking about her today. She should be 18 now.
Well guys, it's going to be a long flight home! Next time we write it'll be from Minneapolis!
Love, EmEm
